Ytterberg wind farm consists of 22 wind turbines located on the hill Nådagubbliden between the villages Ytterberg and Nåda, approximately 10 km south of Malå and 110 km west of Skellefteå in Västerbotten county. Teh faciltiy was built during 2010-2011 and all wind turbines were fully commissioned by the end of 2011.

The Björnberget wind farm will become one of the largest in Europe to start construction this year. At the peak of construction, the project will employ 200 workers to build nearly 64km of new and upgraded roads, with 130km of cabling. Featuring 60 wind turbines, the wind facility will come online in early 2023. The Björnberget wind project will be powered by 60 of Spanish wind turbine-maker Siemens Gamesa’s 5.X technology-based SG 5.8-170 wind turbines, operating in 6.2MW. The turbine installation is expected to take place in 2022 and once commissioned, the wind farm will generate enough clean energy to power nearly 300,000 Swedish households.

The project is the second in a number of planned wind power projects. Since 2009, the company operates a wind farm in Skutskär with five works and a production of 30 GWh / year.
